We support the National Housing Federation’s open letter to the next Prime Minister and the call for a long-term #PlanForHousing
The letter written by the National Housing Federation, on the urgent need for a long-term plan for housing, has been sent directly to the three main Party leaders and other key political stakeholders.
Their latest work is a key part of the National Housing Federation's general election campaign #PlanForHousing and their commitment to fix the housing crisis.
You can read a summary of the letter below, or visit the National Housing Federation's website here to read the full letter.
Summary
The letter:
- Includes some exclusive new analysis on the impact a severe lack of social housing will have on children’s health and wellbeing by the end of the next government.
- Discusses the need for urgent action to solve the housing crisis and commit to the long-term, strategic approach the NHF proposes through our #PlanForHousing campaign.
- Brings together a broad coalition of signatories committed to supporting our general election campaign. They include more than 30 representatives, including teachers, children’s charities, anti-poverty organisations and the social housing sector. We are delighted that Sir Michael Eavis and the chief executives of the NSPCC, Barnardo’s, Shelter, the Association of School and College Leaders and the National Association of Head Teachers have also signed.
