So…. What is this role exactly?

This is an exciting opportunity for a RLS Administrator, to become part of the Older People Services (OPS Team), here at Brookside Retirement Living Scheme, a development for people over the age of 55+, which is based over in Ormskirk in West Lancashire.

This role is part of a busy, but engaging team, we support residents who live on scheme, and the public who come into use many of the other services on offer here at Brookside. We support the NHS, Merebrook Day Centre (part of LCC), the onsite Bistro or the onsite Salon. It is a great opportunity to join a well-established team who have been supporting the residents on scheme for over twelve years.

We are looking for friendly, positive, confident and an individual who has fantastic customer service skills. We are looking for someone who takes care of their work to the highest standard and who has a passion for engaging with older people.

What will my working week look like? 

Your working week will involve, maintaining a good level of customer service skills to assist and support both residents and the public coming into the scheme reception area. Brookside is a 111-bed unit, with both single and double use occupation; some of the apartments are bought outright, or on a rental basis, with the remainder been shared ownership, with up to 100% stake been bought.

You will be part of a team of four administrators, who all work around a 21-hour working week, which is based on a six-week rolling rota between all of you.

What will I be responsible for doing?

First and foremost, you will As the RLS Administrator, naturally you’ll provide general administration duties, including file-management, inputting information onto housing management systems and other administrative tasks relating to office management (e.g. Stationery orders, and building facility testing), support with arranging meetings and taking minutes at meetings, where appropriate.

One of the great things about this role is You would be required to have excellent communication skills, a good knowledge of IT systems with strong organisational skills, being able to assess, prioritise and organise your own workload.

In addition to the above you will embrace the culture of continuous improvement to support Value for Money throughout the organisation and have a passion for doing things right first time.
