Our colleagues at Coops Foyer in Wigan, Danielle, Learning & Development Officer and Megan, Project Officer have worked together to transform our residents meeting space.

Coops Foyer is one of our four foyers that we operate across the North West. The Foyer has supported over 850 young people over the last 30 years whilst providing a safe and high quality accommodation.

Residents use the meeting space to have conversations with there Project Officers as well as an area to meet external support agencies.

The meeting space has been turned into a much cosier area including a 'Coffee Corner' which the residents are delighted about.

Danielle, Learning & Development Officer, commented on the room and said ‘We wanted to create a welcoming and comfortable space for the residents of Coops Foyer to make their own... We decided to focus on the ‘Coffee Corner’ after residents expressed how the process of making a hot drink, makes every meeting a little less daunting.  We’re really happy with the positive response to the 1-1 room and look forward to plenty of cuppas and chats in our new space!’

Residents at Coops Foyer provided us with some feedback about the new space and said 'I love it. The room is comfortable and well suited to my needs.' another resident said 'This is my favourite room! It's very relaxing and calming.'

We're so pleased that this small change has had such a positive affect.
