Foyer residents move into new apartments
We have recently renovated two previously run down properties on St Helen’s Road, Leigh, to provide ‘move on' apartments for our Foyer residents.
The properties are near to our Waterside Point development and were formerly a butcher and a post office. The units had not been used for some time and were severely dilapidated and in need of substantial renovation works.
The properties have been gutted and given a complete renovation, including:
- Brickwork rebuilt
- New roof
- New kitchens and bathrooms
- Separate entries for both apartments
- Shared terrace area
- Electric car charging points
One of the lucky residents to move in is Jade, who was previously a resident at Coops Foyer in Wigan. Jade has come a long way during her time at Coops and was ready to move on to living independently.
One of the highlights for Jade having her own apartment is that she can have a pet, and she is now the proud owner of Harlow the cat. We wish Jade and Harlow all the best in their new home!
We worked with our partners, John Southworth builders on this project.
