Hollymere is one of our retirement living complexes in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire and unfortunately, the on-site restaurant has been closed since March 2024.
We understand the impact the closing of the restaurant had on our residents, as the space was used to socialise with other residents, visitors, and friends, but our colleagues worked hard to ensure the space could be back up and running.
Since the closure, Hollymere residents have missed the restaurant, but thanks to the Scheme Manager, Yvonne and her team, the residents have been able to enjoy a fish and chip van that has visited each month as a special treat and to keep the morale high.
We’re pleased to say that we now have caterers who run the restaurant, The Peoples Pantry, a charitable organisation. They officially opened the restaurant doors earlier this month, offering breakfast as well as affordable nutritious meals, all on-site, in a safe and welcoming environment for our residents.
The Peoples Pantry are also supporting the local community by welcoming and supporting students who wish to volunteer in order to attain their Duke of Edinburgh or UCAS points in Food Safety and Hygiene.
We are delighted for the residents and look forward to many happy times taking place in the restaurant.
