Our four foyers have recently been visited by an organisation based in Hong Kong to find out more about what we do.
Side By Side is an organisation located in Hong Kong, Asia and provide support to the local community with many opportunities such as mental wellness and community education.
The organisation is currently in the process of building the very first foyer in Asia, so they travelled over 5,000 miles to visit us to us to learn a little more about what we do for our foyers.
Our foyers provide young people, aged 16 - 25 who are at risk of becoming homeless with a safe place to live and grow independently.
We currently own four foyers in the North-West and we have recently started work on building a brand new foyer which will replace Coops Foyer in Wigan.
Andrew Ward, Young People Services Manager commented on the day with Side By Side and said "It is sentiment to the quality and reputation of our foyers that Side By Side wanted to visit us to learn more about our approach and the new foyer that we're building in Wigan. We would like to wish them the best of luck in building the first foyer in Asia and hope we can build a strong partnership going forward.”
Side By Side was established in 1955 where they focused on rehabilitation work for discharged prisoners and since then have developed.
