We've recently we have made two internal promotions to our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Jo Hough has been promoted to the new role of Director of Human Resources (HR), and Aaron Hammersley has been promoted to Interim Director of Housing & Customer Service.
Jo joined us in 2022 as Head of HR and Learning & Development, and in that time has been key to the delivery of our new People Strategy.
Jo said, “I am excited to be joining the Senior Leadership Team and delighted to be able to continue to drive forward the People agenda. We launched the new People Strategy last year, and have already delivered some great achievements.''
Commenting on Jo’s promotion, Clare Oakley, our Executive Director of Corporate Services, says, “I’m delighted that Jo will be joining our Senior Leadership Team and continuing to deliver our People Strategy. At YHG we are passionate about housing and investing in people, and since joining YHG Jo has been a real asset and has brought a change in our approach to People and Culture.
Aaron Hammersley’s promotion to Interim Director of Housing & Customer Service comes following Paula Marshall’s promotion earlier this year.
Aaron has been with us since June 2010, where he joined as Non-Social Housing Manager, prior to the merger and the formation of Your Housing Group in 2012. He was then promoted to Head of Sales and Lettings in January 2019, before taking on the role of Head of Housing in December 2020.
Aaron said, “I am delighted to be taking on this interim role. I look forward to working alongside a team of brilliant customer-focused colleagues across the whole Housing & Customer Service Directorate as we strive forward in continually improving the customer experience and standards of service for all our customers and communities.”
Our newly appointed Executive Director of Housing & Customer Service (EDHC) Paula, commented on Aaron's promotion and said, “We are delighted to reward Aaron for his commitment, professionalism, and hard work, by offering him the next step in his career. Aaron will be a fantastic appointment and addition to the senior leadership team.
