Domestic abuse affects 2.4 million adults in England and Wales every year - but the housing sector has the power to make a real difference.

Recently, our CEO Jacque Allen chaired a special episode of the Andersen James HIP where she joined a powerful panel of experts to discuss how we, as a collective, should challenge harmful misconceptions, better support survivors, and shape policies to drive meaningful change.

The panel included

·       Kate Green, Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester

·       Nicki Clarke, Head of Housing at Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse

·       Gail Heath, CEO of the Pankhurst Trust

·       Dr Kelly Henderson CIHCM, MD of Addressing Domestic Abuse

The panel took some time to break down the myths around domestic abuse, called for urgent reforms, and explore how housing providers can become a vital lifeline for survivors.

This is a conversation we feel that we all need to be part of so take a look at the full episode via the link below
